The city will host an exciting Christmas Countdown event alongside a major marketing drive in the lead up to Christmas.
Organised by Exeter BID, the Christmas Lights Switch on event will cover the main city centre and is expected to attract thousands of people.
2016 SAW OVER 15,000 PEOPLE ATTEND THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON EVENT.
Taking place on 16 November 2017, there are a range of sponsorship opportunities available for businesses at this event. Aimed at the whole community, the event will include the official switch on of the Christmas light scheme which stretches across the city centre.
Exeter Christmas Marketing Campaign
Driving footfall to Exeter over the Christmas period is a key priority for the Exeter Business Improvement District and as such, we are investing strongly in marketing the city over this time frame.
Activity will include:
• 75,000 copies of a Christmas guide to Exeter will be distributed to individuals within a one hour drive of Exeter
• A series of press releases and competitions in the national and regional media
• Press and radio advertising
• Promotion on BID’s consumer website InExeter.com and social media channels
