Minecraft Day at RAMM (Feb 10)

Discover Exeter’s history like never before as Minecraft Day returns to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum for the second time. Wizard Keen and Friends will be running a series of Minecraft activities, workshops and running their ‘build battle’ to explore the city’s history in an interactive way.

Coding for Kids at Exeter Phoenix (Feb 13)

Exeter Phoenix are providing a two hour session (both morning and afternoon) where children aged 8 – 14 will design and create an illuminated model, while learning about the technology of 3D printing. Children will be able to watch as the printer creates an object from a simple roll of plastic filament. No coding experience is required and each personal design will be available for collection from the Exeter Phoenix box office a week later.

Mod Rock Modelling at Exeter Cathedral (Feb 14)

Get stuck in with a fun-filled and slightly messy workshop at Exeter Cathedral. This workshop will give your children the opportunity to turn their hand to sculpting with the plaster used to set bones. Each child will create their very own model however simple or intricate which they can take home at the end of the session.

Exeter Cathedral are also running a Willow Lantern workshop on Feb 15.

Brickfilm: Lego Animation at Exeter Phoenix (Feb 15 & 16)

Exeter Phoenix are hosting a two day film-making workshop for children aged 8 – 13. This workshop will allow children to draw upon their creative ability as they use stop motion animation techniques to design, plan and shoot a short film using their Lego from home.

Fab Lab Devon at Exeter Library (Feb 16)

This exciting workshop will teach children how to use 3D design software as they create their very own keyring. Once children have finished designing their keyring it will be sent to the 3D printer where children can watch as their design comes to life.

Button Jewellery Workshop at Bunyip Craft (Feb 17)

Bunyip Craft on Fore Street are hosting their monthly workshop ‘Creative Kids’, with a session of button jewellery making. This workshop is suitable for children aged 6 – 16 and each child will be able to take home a lovely piece of handmade jewellery at the end of the morning.
