Exeter Library

Cabaret show and open mic hosted by T.S. Idiot and their personally curated special guests for a night of queerness, weirdness and joy.

T.S. Idiot is a punk poet, performer and community activist working across the South West. They have produced work and performed for BBC Arts, Tate St Ives and UNESCO and have been shouting on mics in the sweaty basements of Exeter, Plymouth, Bristol and beyond for the last decade. They are self-taught, self deprecating (and sometimes self-adhesive) and use their signature blend of sharp humour and social commentary to talk about class, queerness and other less important things.

They’ll be joined on the night by Shaday, a fellow poet and Kimwei, a local musician.

Places are free, but please book on Eventbrite or at the main library desk.

T.S. will also be offering a daytime workshop (2pm – 3pm) Joy Against The Machine: Writing From a Place of Queer Joy – inviting participants of all backgrounds to explore what queerness, protest and joy can mean to us in our writing today. Please sign up for this workshop in Eventbrite or in the library.

Show starts at 19:30pm, doors at 19:00pm.
