Dr Kent Fedorowich is Reader in British Imperial History at UWE (Bristol) and an adviser to RAMM for the First World War Canadians in Devon exhibition (15 September to 6 January). His talk focuses on the efforts of the Canadian newspaper publisher and business tycoon, Sir Max Aitken (later Lord Beaverbrook), self-appointed ‘official eye witness’ of Canada’s military achievements in the First World War.
The talk examines some of the artists and photographers in the series of exhibitions that toured the United Kingdom, including RAMM in 1918. Dr Fedorowich is an historical consultant and national adviser for the BBC’s ‘World War One at Home’ series.
