The Bishop’s Palace is a place of great significance to Exeter. Much of it was reconstructed in the 1800s, however its initial construction dates back to c. 1200, making it one of Exeter’s most historic buildings. It is certainly Exeter’s grandest domestic property, being the only Norman house to remain in Devon! Despite reconstruction, it still retains the unique air of majesty that was present at its founding.
The palace is very rarely open to the public, and this tour will be an exclusive opportunity to view the grand space inside and out. Duration: 90 minutes.
