Exeter RAMM
Antiques & Collectables

The RAMM collection houses the remains of Czigane, a sledge dog that went on Scott’s 1910-1913 British Antarctic Terra Nova Expedition to the South Pole. The meteorological records from this expedition are important for today’s climate research. Taking these data as a point of departure, artists’ Bik Van der Pol’s video work unfolds the relationship between objects, touch and global trade.

Commissioned by Exeter Culture with support from the Met Office, St David’s C of E Primary School and RAMM.
