DIGITAL TEXTILE & SURFACE PATTERN DESIGN

TWO DAY WORKSHOP
£140 (£120)
New for 2019 this course is an introduction to using Photoshop to explore textile and surface pattern ideas through to a finished printable digital format.
Design your own beautiful and creative patterns from any source of inspiration and turn it into a document that you will be able to get ready for printing onto any surface or textile.
The course content covers, but is not limited to:
- Creating documents
- Saving documents in preparation for printing
- Creating shapes
- Using the colour tool
- Transformation of shapes
- Layer transparency
- Layer masks
- Finalising designs
- Defining patterns for fills
Images will be provided to work from during the course. Please bring a notebook and pen and a USB stick to save your work on after the course.

This course is the ideal next step for anyone who has already attended our Pattern Design for Art, Fashion and Textiles course at Exeter Phoenix.

Tutor
Lesley Goss BA Hons, PGDip CADCAM
Lesley studied BA Fashion/Textiles at Birmingham Polytechnic designing and printing fashion fabrics, T-shirts and hand painting silk scarves. Following that with a Post Graduate Diploma from Staffordshire University in Computer Aided Design and Manufacture.
More recently she became interested in using a combination of her mixed media drawings, photography and digital art in her textile designs, to create interesting design layers for surface pattern.
