The Festival is an annual event held in the courtyard of Exeter Castle and the surrounding Northernhay Gardens, right in the centre of Exeter. This year the Festival will take place over the early May Bank Holiday weekend from Saturday 29th April to Monday 1st May 2017. The Festival also includes three After Dark Music Festivals kicking off on Friday 28th April, featuring live music, chef demos and a great atmosphere.
Full to the brim with exceptional, award-winning regional food and drink producers – bring your shopping bags to stock up on tasty treats and come hungry to make the most of the food and drink ‘to go’ stands in Northernhay Gardens and Exeter Castle Courtyard.
Don’t miss your chance to watch live demos from some of the region’s very best culinary talent on the Festival Cookery Theatre stage including no fewer than 7 Michelin starred chefs including Tom Kerridge and Michael Caines MBE. A packed timetable of tastings, workshops and demos will also take place in The Darts Farm teepees in Northernhay Gardens with renowned regional producers showcasing their skill and family favourites.
The Westcountry Bakery is back by popular demand! Take a pew and enjoy the live baking demonstrations – with the chance to try the delicious creations!
Families can have fun at the Festival with a range of activities for the little ones in the Little Cookies area from cookery classes, the NFU ‘Let’s Talk Farming’ roadshow where children can learn more about how their food is produced, edible bug eating and colouring in with Paignton Zoo, creative play with Love Local Food and Scrapstore. Plus so much more.
