Curator’s Tour With Dr Jean Wainwright

Join the exhibition’s curator, art historian and critic Dr Jean Wainwright for a special tour of the exhibition currently in the Main Gallery.

Another Spring

Another Spring brings together work by a group of internationally recognised artists. The exhibition reflects on the current trends and broader developments of nationalist impulses in Western society, where the debated question of citizenship, the foundation for identity and political governance is tied to ultranationalist concerns and increased measures to regulate and control the movement of people across borders. The fear of national invasion and the economic erosion by an ‘outsider’ increasingly throws into question whether moving across borders will become even more difficult in years to come.

27 – 29 May

MACAP Collective

A group exhibition of work from a collective of students on Plymouth University’s MA Contemporary Art Practice course demonstrating a wide breadth of media.

Adrian Holmes

Adrian Holmes is print maker focusing on Japanese woodblock printing. Living and working in Japan for a number of years he fell in love with the art of woodblock printing and began to study this beautiful medium and its various techniques. Fascinated by its versatility and openness, Adrian explores the natural environment often using a semi abstract style in his work capturing fragments of his rambling within Cornwall and the surrounding landscape.
