On Saturday 27th August 2016, Exeter city centre will be brought to life with dozens of exciting live art performances. Musicians, acrobats, jugglers, thespians, artists, poets, dancers, circus acts, and bands will fill the city centre streets with colour and sound as they perform and interact with passing audiences at designated pitches in High Street, Princesshay, Gandy Street, South Street, Fore Street, Catherine Street, Cathedral Green, and the cafe terrace at Exeter Phoenix between 10am and 6pm.
As well as dozens of performances, there will be family-friendly drop-in dance and circus skills workshops led by professionals taking place in Princesshay;interactive theatre, comedy and storytelling on the cathedral green; a graffiti art paint jam adjacent to Exeter Phoenix; as well as other fun, interactive activities. Local artists and craftspeople will also be showcasing their wares on market stalls in High Street and at the top of Fore Street, and to top it all off, there is an after-party event planned for the evening at Exeter Phoenix – in association with The Good Foot and Jam The Channel.
