Five Nights of Lights is the official start of the countdown to Christmas with late night shopping evenings starting on Thursday 21 November, when many of Exeter’s shops will stay open until 9pm.
This year, InExeter has teamed up with the Hospiscare South West, supporting the charity’s annual Light up a Life campaign.
At The Fore Street Festive Flea, join the Fore Street traders for a festive afternoon of street food, indie craft and vintage gift shopping, live music and more.
A full programme of live music, including Exeter Gospel Choir, Exeter Rock Choir, Hannah Ruby, The Hummingbirds and Dan Caute will play from the stage throughout the day. Visitors will also be treated to performances from Urban Flow Street Dance and an exclusive reading of a poem created by local children, plus don’t miss a special display fun bus from Stagecoach. A lantern parade leading from the top of Fore Street to the stage will see the finale of the 5 Nights of Lights event series with the Fore Street light switch on. If you would like to be part of the parade sign up for the children’s lantern making workshop at The Mint Church (hosted by Kerrie Seymour), families will then be invited to bring their lantern along on the night and be a part of the festive fun.
