Five Nights of Lights is the official start of the countdown to Christmas with late night shopping evenings starting on Thursday 21 November, when many of Exeter’s shops will stay open until 9pm.
This year, InExeter has teamed up with the Hospiscare South West, supporting the charity’s annual Light up a Life campaign.
At High Street & Castle Street Family Christmas Fair, head to the heart of Exeter for a festive afternoon for all the family. With free arts and crafts, live music from Magnetic Meteors, Dan Caute and Hannah Ruby, pop up stalls and much more including lantern making, a showcase from Exeter Roller Derby, our Holly Horse Box Photo Booth outside H&M, plus don’t miss a special display fun bus from Stagecoach. Perfect for all of the family to enjoy together, come and see the lights switched on by a giant Tommy Cooper street puppet – Exeter’s own comedy son. If you would like to be part of the parade sign up for the children’s lantern making workshop at Exeter Library (hosted by Kerrie Seymour), families will then be invited to bring their lantern along on the night and be a part of the festive fun. Visit https://lanternworkshop16november.eventbrite.co.uk for more information – *UPDATE* this workshop has now sold out, but you can still sign up to the waiting list.
Join Ashley Jeary from Radio Exe as he will be broadcasting live from each event, plus the Radio Exe Crew will be there each night for your chance to win some InExeter gift cards as part of our festive competition, plus grab a selfie with our elfie for even more chances to win!
