Five Nights of Lights is the official start of the countdown to Christmas with late night shopping evenings starting on Thursday 21 November, when many of Exeter’s shops will stay open until 9pm.
This year, InExeter has teamed up with the Hospiscare South West, supporting the charity’s annual Light up a Life campaign.
At Stars at Sidwell & Paris Street, the stars will shine bright with a parade featuring fairy-tale princesses, the cast of Exeter Northcott’s pantomime Beauty & the Beast and live acapella music from The Hummingbirds kicking off the festivities. The evening’s festive parade will start inside John Lewis & Partners working its way through the store ending outside for people to see the lights switched on overhead in Sidwell Street and Paris Street, with a performance from Urbanflow Street Dance. The streets will be lined with pop up food and drinks stalls courtesy of the Sidwell Street Festive Food, Drink & Farmers Market , live music from Hannah Ruby, and craft activities for the children including sugarcraft stars workshops at Bake, star-themed craft workshops at Exeter Craft Hub, lino print Christmas card workshops at Hutch and drinks from Oddfellows Bar Nova.
Join Ashley Jeary from Radio Exe as he will be broadcasting live from each event, plus the Radio Exe Crew will be there each night for your chance to win some InExeter gift cards as part of our festive competition, plus grab a selfie with our elfie for even more chances to win!
