Freefall is an arts group for young people between the ages of 13-16, running on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm during term time at Exeter Phoenix.

The group is free to attend and is run by a qualified arts practitioner, giving participants a chance to socialise, share ideas and develop creative projects together, working across a range of artforms and activities. It aims to give young people a deeper understanding and enjoyment of art, creativity and culture while helping to improve confidence and skills and increasing self-awareness and reflection.

Freefall sessions regularly explore ideas and events that connect with the wider programme of exhibitions, festivals and performances at Exeter Phoenix, working with a variety of artists and practitioners and visiting other cultural events in the city.

The group is led by George Barron and Anna Aroussi who are both experienced artists and all-round film, music and arts enthusiasts. Find out more about some of the projects the group have been working on by following the group on instagram here >>

The group can be booked in 5 week/half termly blocks with capacity limited to 15 participants. When full capacity has been reached we will run a fist-come-first served waiting list so please help us to manage the high demand for places by booking early and letting us know if you are unable to attend any sessions.

We are only able to run this free group through donations and funding secured from charitable trusts and foundations and if you feel able to make a donation or regular contribution to help us continue this work, you can do so here >>
