A regular performer at the Gilmore Keyboard Festival in the USA, in 2016/17 Llyr Williams. Williams made his debuts at the Washington Performing Arts Series, Da Camera in Houston and Portland Piano International. He also recently completed a three-season long complete Beethoven Piano Sonata Cycle at the Wigmore Hall and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, as well as a Beethoven concerto cycle with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
2017-2018 includes the start of a five-recital exploration of the late works of Schubert in Cardiff, and debuts at the Belfast International Festival of Chamber Music, the Union College Concert Series, New York and the Friends of Chamber Music Kansas City as well as his concerto debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and his Russian recital debut in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Llyr Williams is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where he is also artist-in-association. He is also artist-in-residence at Galeri Caernarfon and the Cowbridge Music Festival.
This is the first concert in the celebratory concert series 2018. The series continues on Tue 19 June with Ella Rundle, cello and John Paul Ekins, piano, followed by the Consone Quartet on Wed 11 Jul.
Hawksmoor Celebratory Classical Concert Series 2018
Now in its seventh year, this established concert series, hosted in the Victorian splendour of RAMM, forms part of the museum’s 150th celebration programme. Hawksmoor Investment Management are sponsoring these events which raise funds for the Royal Albert Memorial Museum Development Trust.
