This course will introduce the basics of Latin and reveal the root words behind so much of the English language.

Learn about some great ancient and medieval writers and hear their work read aloud. Decipher the inscriptions on 1,500-year-old Roman coins discovered buried on Seaton Down, now on display at RAMM.

Tutor George Sharpley of the Latin Qvarter has run popular courses all over the country at venues such as the Roman Baths in Bath, Fishbourne Roman Palace and many mediaeval cathedrals.
