Learn how to make a colourful mosaic with local artist Michelle Greenwood-Brown.
Mosaic making is an enduring art form, originating in Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BCE and persisting to modern times. Used extensively on religious buildings throughout history, it is now practiced by professional artists and enjoyed as a popular craft.
Draw inspiration from RAMM’s collection of Roman mosaics or visit our Elaine M Goodwin exhibition before the workshop, mimic the artist’s own designs or create your own pattern from scratch.
All materials provided. You will create your own piece of artwork to take home with you.
