Ukraine’s Word and Voice Theatre Centre return to Exeter Cathedral for a special performance of song-prayers in support of the people of Ukraine. The performance will feature renowned singer, actress and pedagogue Nataliia Polovynka accompanied by Solomiia Kyrylova and Mariia Kmit.
Koliada is the ancient Slavic season of Winter songs and rituals. Christmas Rejoicing is a reconstruction of Koliada festivities through these songs, in a performance that does not simply preserve them, but renews them like the world – reminding us that the light of the season lives within us all.
