Educational & Spoken Word

Over two Saturdays, plan and produce a short feature for broadcast. In conjunction with Phonic FM, Exeter’s community radio station, this course offers an opportunity to produce a short feature for broadcast.

The course will cover:

  • Planning a feature
  • Writing for radio
  • Interview technique
  • Recording techniques
  • Editing
  • Packaging and supplying finished content
  • Broadcasting
  • Podcasting

In this 2 day course, you’ll learn about audio production techniques, with guidance on how to plan and produce your own feature. You’ll receive hands-on recording and editing training, and on the second Saturday there will be an opportunity to broadcast your feature across Exeter on Phonic FM.

This course would be ideal for people involved in community projects, looking to share what they do with a wider audience; local/community radio practitioners looking to develop their output; people with a particular interest in podcasting; people looking to develop a career in radio.

There will be an opportunity to broadcast on Phonic FM between 2-4pm on Sat 21 Jan.
