The Terrace, Exeter

Sweet Nothings was formed in 2006. Since then the group has continued to grow into one of the most well-known a cappella groups on campus and in Exeter.
They made their Edinburgh Fringe debut in August 2014 which was a huge success, and that success has continued to grow as Sweet Nothings competed in the quarter finals of this year’s ICCAs! They also got into the finals of The Voice Festival UK, winning prizes for outstanding choreography as well as their Assistant Musical Director, Beth Chalmers, winning best soloist for her insane rendition of Sia’s ‘Chandelier’.
Returning to the Fringe this August with a huge repertoire ranging from Ed Sheeran to R Kelly, Sweet Nothings has exploded onto the a cappella scene.

Illuminations are a mixed contemporary a cappella group, with a repertoire ranging from pop metal artists like Evanescence to musical theatre favourites like The Lion King’s ‘He Lives in You’.
Having made a big splash this year through qualifying for the semi-finals of the ICCAs, with their very own beatboxer being awarded Best Vocal Percussionist, Illuminations are looking to extend their successes to their own Edinburgh Fringe debut!
Their first gig at the Terrace will showcase their own brand of contemporary a cappella, as well as glimpses of what Illuminations hope to show at the internationally renowned arts festival.
