Come and find out from Revd Michael Crow, a former priest of St Albans, why the life of Christina of Markyate was so significant. Christina being both an anchoress and a Prioress came from a wealthy Anglo-Saxon family trying to accommodate with the Normans. She became head of a community of nuns, amongst other things. A monk of St Albans, who was a contemporary of Christina, documented her life in a manuscript known as ‘The Saint Alban’s Psalter’, which Michael will enlighten us on.
