Nestled in the heart of the city lies the magnificent building of Exeter Phoenix, and since the 90’s the organisation has been bursting with creativity and passion for the arts.
The vibrant, multi-artform venue is a place for people to feel at home and unleash their ultra-creative skills celebrating art, craft, music, theatre, film and more with art galleries, an auditorium for gigs and shows, a cinema, a radio station, a print workshop and a café.
The company is a non-profit organisation and relies on the public’s kind contributions to keep this bustling building running.
You’ll find award-winning work by internationally renowned artists as well as local creatives that come together to create incredible exhibitions for the public to see and a vibrant programme of live music, theatre and film.
As well as this, there are some fantastic opportunities for people to get more involved with the arts. Exeter Phoenix host a huge selection of taster days, beginners’ courses and social gatherings to encourage everyone to try something different and to have a go at embracing their creative flair in a new field. Life drawing, a dance café, sewing, cinematography… These are just a few of many diverse workshops on offer at the Phoenix. The Phoenix also boasts an in house radio station, which is broadcasted to millions of people. The radio station is open to public contributions and provides the opportunity for anyone to be a part of a show.
