For this week’s #FinditinExeter we visited Toot Garook, a beautifully presented vibrant gift and lifestyle store located on Queen Street. Spread over two floors of a beautiful Victorian building and packed full of stunning homeware, there really is something for everyone and every occasion.
Toot Garook originally opened in 1995 by proud owner Jude Durham, when she made the decision to move from Australia all the way over to Exeter. Jude named the store after a town called Toot Garook in Australia and mentions that their logo of a frog also gives away a hint to the Australian route of the name.
Jude really embraces her passion of travelling in the items that she sells. From silk scarves made in Devon to Danish bags, it is clear that only the best quality and products are sold, allowing the customer to buy a truly special gift.
One of our favourite things about Toot Garook is their use of colour, and how they really embrace style and trends throughout the store. With fairy lights everywhere, and home furniture which looks like something off your Pinterest board, there is nowhere better to buy bespoke homeware and lifestyle items.
