HO HO HO! Now that the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market has opened on the Cathedral Green are you feeling suitably festive? This year InExeter has supported 17 Exeter independent businesses, allowing them to have a chalet at the market. Running until Thursday 19 December, you will find the perfect festive showcase of our city’s indies.
For this week’s #FinditinExeter we have details on which of the InExeter businesses you can expect to see each week at the market, from Saturday 30 November – Thursday 19 December.

Georgie & Flo
Georgie & Flo’s beautiful range was born for the Exeter Christmas Market. The team’s Upper Paul Street shop will be replicated in their chalet, where shelves will be filled with handmade and ethical products made by local people. From artisan jewellery, textiles and cards, to natural ceramics, leather ware and candles, Georgie & Flo is a showcase of the South West’s most talented crafts people.
Passionate about all things plant related, Hutch is Exeter’s only dedicated houseplant and terrarium shop. Head to their chalet turned jungle to discover an enormous selection of greenery, pots, hangers, air plants, books and other plant related gifts. A Hutch team member will be on hand to give advice and help you choose the perfect houseplant for you or whoever you’re gifting this Christmas.
Shopping for little ones this Christmas? At the market this week you will find the city centres only specialist organic and sustainable clothing, toy and accessories shop for babies and children up to five-years-old setting up shop. Visit Kapbula Organics chalet to pick up colourful and ethical gifts, including accessories made from fabric offcuts, wooden toys and nursery decorations.
Know someone who is a magpie for a sparkle? If so, don’t miss Mantis’s chalet for the perfect present! Mantis is an independent boutique jewellery shop based in Gandy Street, selling contemporary 925 silver jewellery set with the finest quality gemstones, accessories and unique handmade gifts sourced from the UK and workshops around the globe.
Pygmalion and Funck
Presents don’t get much more natural than Pygmalion and Funck’s wares. The Paris Street resident will be showcasing and selling its eclectic mix of wooden interior and garden furniture, ornaments, sculptures and art at the Christmas Market this year.
The Recycled Candle Company
This Gandy Street based business is the only candle recycling company in the UK and Exeter is very proud to call it its own! The team stop any old wax going to landfill by collecting it from hotels, restaurants, churches, cathedrals and the public. They then melt it down and recycle it all to create gorgeous smelling, high quality ‘new to you’ candles and more. Learn more and shop their range at their chalet this week.
If you’re hunting for zero-waste goodies, then a trip to Zero Exeter’s chalet is a must. This family-run shop will be stocking its ethical range of zero waste food, and a combination of locally made, artisanal, recycled and natural home, gift and interiors products at the Christmas Market this year.
But this isn’t all. In the following remaining few weeks of the Christmas Market you will also see Gandy Street’s Chococo and Magdalen Road’s Leaf Street and Leela pop up – happy Christmas shopping!
