#FinditinExeter with Imperial Games

Whether you’re a master at Magic: The Gathering, a Dungeons & Dragons hero or have never picked up a game before but want to discover a whole new world, then Imperial Games is the destination for you.

For this week’s #FinditinExeter, we headed to Imperial Games’ new location on Paris Street to chat with owners, Steve and Nicky, and discover all things gaming.

Imperial Games reopened on May the 4th (Star Wars fans will understand), after relocating from their previous retail space a few doors up. With their first birthday coming up this year, Imperial Games’ new premises really is something to celebrate.

Walking into Imperial Games, you enter another world. The go-to place for all of your gaming needs, whatever your age. It stocks a vast selection of wargames, board games, role play games, card games and both hobby and gaming accessories in their shop to buy. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Their hobby table consists of 10 individual desks equipped with lamps and tools for painting and constructing figures and scenery. There are also half a dozen large playing tables that are available free of charge for war, board and card games whenever players wish to have a game or four!

Imperial Games host regular events, including a Yugioh Tournament every Saturday (a recent tournament saw 75 players descend on the Exeter business!) and a table-top wargame event each week.

It is completely free to play whatever game you wish to bring along to Imperial Games; so gather your friends, or head straight to Imperial Games and join a group, and challenge each other to a game.

Stay tuned, because Imperial Games’ restaurant is due to open very soon. With an extensive hot food menu planned, alongside hot and cold drinks and snacks, you will no longer need to leave your playing station to refuel. The restaurant will also be open to the general public, so if you fancy lunching whilst spectating a game of Warhammer there will be no stopping you.

Imperial Games is open Monday to Saturday 10am – 9pm, closed Wednesdays, and open Sunday 6pm – 10pm.
