#FindItInExeter with Ink

For this week’s #FindItInExeter we caught up with Abi, from Ink, to celebrate their spooky 10th Birthday and talk about all things body art.

Ink opened its doors in North Street on Halloween 2008, and since then they have firmly established themselves as one of Exeter’s most in demand tattoo and piercing studios.

The all-girl team of three provide a custom tattoo, piercing and laser removal service (a growing market since that popular prime-time TV programme, Tattoo Fixers) in an extremely relaxed and friendly environment, with tea practically on tap!

Abi has always loved tattoos, with more than 50 of her own, she entered the industry at the age of 21 as an apprentice tattoo artist. 12 years on she has most definitely mastered her trade and passion.

Ink pride themselves on creating custom tattoo designs for their clients. Whether you know exactly what you would like, or need a bit of creative inspiration, Abi and her team are eager to work with your ideas and create amazing bespoke designs. Word on the street (and Pinterest) is that dot work and geometrics are the key tattoo trend at the moment, both styles Abi loves to ink.

If you are desperate for a tattoo but lacking inspiration, Abi has shared a top tip to get the creative juices flowing: make a list of all of your interests and then brainstorm to see how you can evolve these words into a design. But remember, meaning isn’t always necessary, you can simply just have a beautiful piece of artwork on your body.

It’s not just tattooing that has earned Ink such a great reputation, their in-house piercer Megan, is renowned for her special talents.

So, next time you are after some fresh body art be sure to make an appointment with Abi, Megan and Charlie at their popular studio, Ink.

Before we go, happy birthday Ink and here’s to another 10 years!
