Did you know Paris Street is home to the cities only specialist organic and sustainable clothing, toy and accessories shop for babies and children up to five-years-old?
For this week’s #FinditinExeter we caught up with Tuba, owner of Kapbula Organics, to discover everything there is to know about her colourful and ethical children’s range shop on Paris Street.
The shop stocks an array of organic and/or recycled plastic garments, accessories made from fabric offcuts, wooden toys, recycled plastic swimsuits, BPA free and medical grade silicone teethers, nursery decorations, bags and even organic toothpaste.
At Kapbula, high quality fabrics and stitches come together to make fun, fashionable and durable outfits that not only withstand rigorous washing but are also kind to the environment because of the way they are made.
Tuba opened Kapbula’s Paris Street store at the end of 2017, with the business now based in Exeter after it’s launch in Istanbul more than 15 years ago. Kapbula is more than just a shop. The independent company in fact runs its entire flexible supply chain, with an individual responsible for production and another employee responsible for the product design. The company also buys its prints from different designers all around the world and works with small ateliers, that are predominately owned by women in order to support and provide them with a sustainable business, to create its collections.
Kapbula offers unique designs and an ethical conscience that sets it apart from the high street and guarantees to brighten your day. Blue for boys and pink for girls are a thing of the past in this boutique, dinosaurs and monsters on twirl dresses are more its style.
So, whether you want to treat your own little one or need a gift for somebody else’s bundle of joy, Kapbula is sure to have the perfect thing.
