Mansons Guitar Shop is one of the most respected independent guitar stores in the world, which is now in its 26th year as a retail outlet. A destination store within the music industry, Mansons’ team is headed by its founders, guitar luthier Hugh Manson and bass expert Adrian Ashton.
Mansons was established to fulfil a need that wasn’t present at the time; to be able to purchase quality acoustic, electric and bass guitars alongside folk instruments, amplifiers, effects pedals and accessories in the heart of Exeter. That is exactly what Mansons did and jump forward to 2019 the store still provides a musical experience that you just can’t create online.
The walls are swathed with gleaming instruments, Mansons’ tardis-esque space is filled floor to ceiling with beautiful guitars. Watch the minutes whittle by as you test out the instruments in their sound-proof booths, or if you can’t play them, just stare at them in awe.
