#FinditinExeter with The Brogue Trader

For this week’s #FinditinExeter we visited the incredibly beautiful Brogue Trader located in the Cathedral Yard. The business sells exclusive bespoke, handmade shoes that are classic with exceptional quality.

In 2013 Chris Macnamara started the business in Cardiff, and only 5 years later it has grown to 9 stores around the UK. Known as a family run business, The Brogue Trader sells Loake shoes for both men and women, and caters for all needs. Whether you’re wanting a pair of shoes for work or a special occasion, they are sure to help you find the perfect pair of shoes that will last a life time.

Made with the highest grade of leather, the shoes are made in the original Loake factory which was established in 1894 in Kettering. The factory is known for using the same techniques that were used when the factory first opened, and every pair of shoe is given an incredible amount of time and love to make the pair perfect.

From shoes being polished by hand to measuring precise measurements of people’s feet, The Brogue Trader is completely devoted to ensuring their customers are taken care of. With it coming close to summer, it is becoming extremely popular to wear Deck Shoes and Suede Loafers. They are the perfect complement to a summer outfit, and can suit both men and women. As well as selling beautifully made shoes, the shop sells umbrellas, shoe cleaning kits, and general accessories which allow customers to help keep their shoes in tip top condition.

The shop has newly expanded and is now working with a tailor from Suit To The City, so customers can make an appointment to get a suit/suits tailored and also get the perfect pair of shoes to go with it.

This truly stunning shop screams class and tradition, and is a perfect new addition to the independents of Exeter.
