Whether you’re the designated driver, on a pre-Christmas detox or just don’t fancy that extra kick in your drink, we’ve put together a roundup of some the city’s top mocktails for this festive season’s work dos, catch ups with friends or date nights.
On the cobbled stones of Gandy Street you’ll find Coolings, who have given the classic Mojito a twist this festive season; the Cranberry Mojito is made up of cranberry juice, mint & lime. They also serve a Strawberry Lemonade and Cucumber Elderflower Fizz, all priced at £3.95.
High Street fave Artigianos will leave you spoilt for choice with their mocktail selection.
The menu includes Virgin Berry Mojitos with fresh berries and mint, apple juice, sugar and soda, the Pearfecto – pear puree, lemon juice, egg white, orgeat syrup, Rosemarie’s Garden – fresh rosemary, pineapple juice, agave, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, orange bitters and egg white or a Berry Sour – fresh blackberries, pineapple juice, mint leaves, lychee, lemon juice and egg white.
Each mocktail is £5 or double up with 2 for £9.
To quote Lloyd himself, ‘for drinks mixed to perfection’, head to Lloyds Lounge on Catherine Street.
Their inspired mocktail menu includes the Cranberry Caboose – cranberry Juice, lemonade, muddled fresh limes and grenadine, a Mango Mule – mango juice and ginger beer, mixed with freshly muddled limes, an Apple & Elderflower Fizz – apple juice, fresh lime, elderflower, soda water and freshly muddled mint or a Grapefruit Gunner – grapefruit juice blended with ginger beer, angostura bitters and fresh lemon. So many flavours!
Take in the rooftop views while sipping on something fruity.
Options include the Gaueko – lime juice & orange, blackcurrant jam, vanilla & gingerbread, the Mango Heaven – mango purée, lemonade & lime or a Watermelon Nojito – watermelon syrup, elderflower cordial, lime & lemon, mint.
Prices are £5 per cocktail but don’t forget happy hour every day 5pm – 9pm!
For bespoke creations using seasonal & local ingredients visit indie fave Circa 1924 on Northernhay Place. Their latest creations include a Cloudy Lemonade -lemon juice, orgeat, dill oil, soda or a Garden Tea – Seedlip Garden Distilled Non-Alcoholic Spirit, lime juice, green tea, berry jam or finally the Gunnar – Ginger Ale, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice, Angostura Bitters. And if you’re visiting on a weekend you can enjoy live music from the house band; The UpCrowd.
