Charity Shops

Exeter has a fabulous array of charity shops in the city centre. Each one with a great selection of second-hand clothing and accessories, so you are always guaranteed to pick up a bargain. Browse in Oxfam on South Street, the forerunner of the #SecondHandSeptember campaign, along with its charity shop neighbours RSPCA and Marie Curie, and Hospiscare, Kidney Research UK and British Heart Foundation on Fore Street. In each of these spots you can guilt-free shop till you drop, knowing that whilst you’re treating yourself to some wonderful new-to-you finds you’re also donating money to even more wonderful causes and shopping in a much more sustainable way.

The Real McCoy

Nestled in the heart of Fore Street, The Real McCoy is one of Exeter’s most beloved vintage clothing shops. A haven established in 1984 for those who love a little thrifty shopping, they source from all over the world, which makes their products extremely popular. Their vintage clothing and American retro ranges are vast, dating from the roaring 20s to the raving 90s. One of their biggest hits is the American favourite Levi jeans, which are sold for only £20 a pair! They also stock a large range of men’s formalwear for sale or hire.
