Get out and about this summer and get to know the real Exeter, with such beautiful surroundings and historic buildings which provide fantastic learning experiences all through the city. With the new Great Garden Quest, you can combine a passion for creativity with an educational and eye opening journey!
The Great Garden Quest has been inspired by video games, created by the RAMM museum, offering you a map to find the hidden ‘treasures’ all through the city centre. Each stop offers you a new photography challenge; this makes you take a closer look at all the amazing nature within the city, with a focus on the greener areas of the city near the cathedral and in other garden-like areas. These images should be captured on a smartphone or tablet and then uploaded to the RAMM online gallery where your images will be shared with others!
If you find one challenge a little too difficult, don’t fear, you can just move onto your next mission without losing any lives; this real-life video game is suitable for everyone! The quest should take around one and a half hours to complete, and at the end you should have your very own personal view of your journey, captured in a majestic collection of photographs.
The online quest guide will lead you to each attraction, and give you a little history lesson, whilst asking you to photograph something quite specific within the area. The journey should provide a lot of fun as well as a great educational experience! Take a look at The Great Garden Quest here and get involved this summer with just one of the wonderful activities in Exeter!
